Sr.Group Manager, Infrastructure Operations : Manages multiple teams and oversees complex infrastructure projects, often global in scope. Oversees the requirements, planning, organizing, and implementation of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Develops, maintains, and implements the procedures and the execution covering all configuration issues in a full software lifecycle.Develops and implements strategic processes for implementation and maintenance activities for computer system software and configurations. Contributes to developing strategy for implementing and integrating middleware software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment, dealing with development projects that have a broad impact across the organization. Provides senior-level consulting in identifying and solving highly-critical middleware issues and serves as a senior-level resource on middleware issues related to policies and standards that impact middleware specialist and application support staffs across the corporation. Implements projects consistent with long-term IT plans. Assists with the coordination of activities with other IT unit heads. Establishes and ensures compliance with policies and procedures for activities within Infrastructure Operations. Evaluates current methods and strategies, and implements changes and improvements. Reports results to the Sr. Group Manager.Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple infrastructure operations teams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations required with related supervisory, management and administrative experience, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.



  • Accountable for stability for all technology delivering the Production Service within the India region.
  • The single point of escalation in India region for all Enterprise Production Issues for India ExCo for all 3 Legal Entities, Regulatory, Risk, Legal, Business and Operations follow ups pertaining to major technology incidents
  • Manage and develop talent
  • Apply all enterprise policies to support the rotation, performance rating and advancement of teams providing production Services to the India region.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning strategies to better manage workload and to ensure optimal resource utilization and global coverage, partnering with all Global Production Services Leads
  • Stay abreast of all risk and compliance requirements
  • Ensure that all policies, processes and guidelines by Service Management Organisation (SMO) are adhered to
  • Encourage a culture of knowledge management and continual improvement
  • Lead resolution of incidents as required

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or other Information Technology disciplines
  • Has 18 – 20+ years of experience in Technology
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large organization in a production services role (200+ staff)
  • Exhibits extensive understanding of the application portfolio and infrastructure supporting the business
  • Demonstrated leadership in orchestrating solutions and driving teams towards consensus
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in managing communication with executive leadership
  • Flexibility to work in a 24×7 global environment and work to create turnover processes to support the follow-the sun model
  • Strong business modeling, budgeting and project planning skills
  • Experience of managing complicated vendor and outsource relationships
  • Extensive track record of managing Business and Technology senior stakeholders
  • Experience of managing geographically remote teams
  • Good communication and conflict management skills.
  • Experience of working with regulators and market authorities

Person Specification

  • Extensive Technology experience required
  • Job holder must have extensive experience with managing client expectations and communicating effectively with senior and executive management
  • Prior experience managing strategic and/or cross-organizational issues and managing multiple complex incidents in parallel
  • Must be relentless and energetic, logical, calm and progressive
  • Comfortable with speaking directly with clients & regulators
  • Experience managing vendors as components of a service
  • Seeks continuous improvement in service and in their personnel
  • Able to adapt their style and tone to suit the audience and situation
