This exciting role offers opportunity to:
  • Overall responsibility to manage the financial performance of Interconnect Technologies Division (ITD) in India including forecast, actuals, profit plan, and financial metrics. This role will develop forward-looking insights to drive management decisions and improve financial results. The controller will need to provide technical competence to ensure compliance with US and local GAAP as well as Eaton policies and legal requirements. This position will be responsible for building organizational capability within the ITD India finance function by hiring and developing finance personnel. This position also ensures that assets are adequately protected and that operational personnel are provided with financial guidance to produce the required return on those assets.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting including ownership of the account reconciliation process and the cost accounting processes (standard costing).
  • Manages, analyses, evaluates, and interprets results and forecasts and communicate effectively to management and division.
  • Advises and counsels the Plant Manager and leadership team on financial implications of operating strategies, new business proposals cost control actions and decisions.
  • Leads annual financial planning and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Effectively manages people by hiring, training, and development of the finance staff.
  • Establishes a work environment that encourages individual career advancement, development, and growth.
  • Establishes, monitors, and maintains a system of internal controls that safeguards the company assets and ensures integrity of the financials and compliance with Eaton policies and SOX.
  • Evaluates and approves plant capital appropriation requests and monitors and reports purchase commitments and spendings on amll capital programs.
  • Manages the deployment of cost saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability and improve working capital management. Monitors plant productivity and support all operational initiatives.
  • Interfaces with India corporate finance, other central Eaton functions and external auditors to ensure that all statutory requirements and indirect and direct taxation laws are met.
  • Emphasizse profitability and cash at all times to challenge the business team to improve operationally.
  • Manages the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and other transactional services until such time as any transactional processing is transferred to shared services. Note: Any transition is likely to happen after 2022.
  • Supports and leads any applicable projects such as ERP and financial system implementations.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting
  • At least 10 years of work experience of which at least 3 years must be in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting in a manufacturing company
  • Fluent in English and Tamil
  • Business Acumen
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience with change management
  • Prior experience managing people
